What is Embodied Self-Care?
Imagine having the skills and tools to manage your stress response, those moments when you lose it on your kids, the times you feel yourself getting small just because someone doesn't agree with you, or the times that you're waking up in the middle of the night overthinking about all the things that you can't do anything about right now.
Sounds a little too good to be true?
Well, if you're like me you're probably really tired of being told to “just eat healthier” or “just go to the gym more consistently” or “time heals everything, you just need to forgive them.”
This isn't how true healing works. Of course it takes some effort to make change, but when you go about it in the way I'm going to share, that effort is backed by your whole system and not just by the part of you that really wants to fit in those old jeans, find more energy, or just feel better.
This kind of self-care isn't adding more to your to-do list. It's not about running yourself into the ground with “just” adding more healthy choices to your life. (although of course we can and often need to shift our choices to healthier ones)
Imagine if someone was right there guiding you to those places that are blocking you from taking care of yourself and helping you bring those places into alignment with who you really want to be.
This is ALL about aligning your WHOLE self towards your dreams and retraining your nervous system that you CAN take care of yourself.
I know you already know so much about how you need to be taken care of. I know that you probably have already tried SO many times to make the changes stick. It's exhausting and disheartening, but we're going to do it different this time!
Embodied Self-Care is the concept that self-care is SO engrained into your Self that you can't help but make better, more healing choices that align with who you truly are and want to be.
